Now three weeks into the fasting month, Ramadan bazaars are in full swing across Selangor. From fusion dishes going viral on social media to traditional recipes passed down for generations, this year’s bazaars are bigger, better and more exciting than ever.
As new locations continue to open across districts and the famously long bazaar in Rawang is said to take over an hour to explore from end to end, there is simply no shortage of discoveries waiting to be made.
For those tired of hotel buffets or simply want a hassle-free iftar without cooking, here is a guide to Ramadan bazaars around Selangor.

Shah Alam
For residents of Shah Alam, visiting a Ramadan bazaar before heading home is a tradition. As the capital city of Selangor, the area attracts not only locals but also office workers looking for convenient iftar options.
With the revamping of the State Development Corporation of Selangor’s complex and the newly-built Aneka Walk, the bazaar scene here is more vibrant than ever.
In Shah Alam, you will find viral favourites such as Mee Mamu, nasi kenduri, Kelantanese delights such as nasi kerabu and laksam and the famous nasi mandi by Chef Ammar.
Must-visit bazaars include Stadium Shah Alam, Setia Perdana BB, Seksyen 19, Denai Alam and Seksyen 17.

Hulu Langat
Hulu Langat goes big this year with 30 Ramadan bazaars across Kajang, Cheras, Semenyih, Beranang and Bangi.
Top spots to check out include Laman Niaga Komuniti Seksyen 13 Bandar Baru Bangi, Laman Niaga Komuniti Bandar Seri Putra, Laman Niaga Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Taman Pelangi Semenyih and Taman Prima Saujana, Kajang.
With over 100 stalls at selected locations, expect crowd-favourites such as sup gearbox, nasi khao mok and Sukiya beef bowl.
Kuala Langat
Further south, Kuala Langat hosts nearly 20 Ramadan bazaars involving close to a thousand stalls. Besides classic Malay dishes, this district stands out for its viral treats including Dubai chewy cookies, Vietnamese rolls and cheese quesillo.
It is the destination for adventurous food lovers who enjoy sampling trending flavours alongside traditional kuih.
Recommended spots include Bazaar Ramadan Kanchong Darat, Bazaar Ramadan Banting, Bazaar Ramadan Triana, Bandar Tropicana Aman, Bazaar Ramadan Bandar Saujana Putra and Bazaar Ramadan Dataran Pantai Batu Laut.
Sepang
Here, the Ramadan bazaars are especially convenient as many are located at shopping centres and open spaces with ample parking.
Popular locations include Streetmall Cyberjaya, Desa Pinggiran Putra, Kipmall Kota Warisan, Kosmopleks Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi and Bazaar Ramadan Sungai Pelek.
You can easily find familiar favourites such as yong tau foo, grilled chicken wings, popiah basah and freshly prepared murtabak.

Subang Jaya
For residents of Subang Jaya, there are 20 Ramadan bazaars featuring 1,207 food stalls.
Areas such as USJ 4, Dataran Niaga Puchong Permai, Bandar Kinrara 5, Jalan Petaling Putra Heights and Taman Seri Serdang are particularly popular.
The lively atmosphere, combined with the tempting aroma of grilled Thai sausages, murtabak and nasi kerabu makes these bazaars a must-visit.
Klang
The Ramadan bazaars in Klang are equally vibrant, reflecting the district’s rich food culture and dense population.
From Meru to the town centre, options are plentiful with 22 Ramadan bazaars opened this year. Taman Sri Andalas is especially well known for its ayam percik, kebab and nasi briyani, while other recommended spots include Simpang Empat Sungai Udang, Kampung Meru, Lorong Musran Rantau Panjang and Batu 4, Jalan Keretapi Lama.
Petaling Jaya
For those navigating heavy evening traffic, Petaling Jaya offers 18 convenient bazaar stops with 1,260 stalls, perfect for grabbing iftar on the go.
Popular locations include Kampung Lindungan PJS 6/3, Desa Mentari PJS 6/5, SS8, Sg Way, Seksyen 17/1A, Lembah Subang, Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara and more.
Kuala Selangor
In Kuala Selangor, Ramadan bazaars go beyond the district’s usual seafood reputation. You can find surprising selections at 14 Ramadan Bazaars such as Philly cheese steak, kunafa and Johor laksa.
Among the recommended spots are Jalan Hillpark 11/6, Bandar Hillpark, Lotus Kuala Selangor, Jalan K/P1 Tanjong Karang, Astana Alam Fasa 3, Puncak Alam and a few others.
Ampang Jaya
Closer to the city, Ampang Jaya attracts many working professionals thanks to its strategic locations.
Popular bazaars including the Padang Perbandaran MPAJ Pandan Indah, Jalan Melawati 1A Taman Keramat Permai, Jalan Medan Bukit Indah 1 Bukit Indah and Jalan Ukay Perdana 1, Ukay Perdana.
With 16 bazaars offered in Ampang Jaya this year, visitors can enjoy nasi kerabu, kuih akok, Thai sausages, lokching and many other mouth-watering dishes before heading home.

Even in the rural district of Sabak Bernam, the Ramadan spirit shines brightly. Known for its Javanese and Banjar influences, the area offers rare traditional delicacies such as punten, wadai kipeng, nasi ambeng and lontong.
Key locations include Tapak Parkir Pasar Awam Sungai Besar, Pengkalan Sabak, Perkarangan Dewan Seri Sekinchan, Pekan Pasir Panjang and Pekan Parit Baru.
