Pop star Rihanna was inside her Beverly Hills home when a suspect fired multiple rounds, with one bullet piercing a wall of the residence.

LOS ANGELES: Pop superstar Rihanna’s Los Angeles mansion was struck by gunfire on Sunday afternoon. The singer was reportedly inside the residence at the time of the incident.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the shooting occurred after 1pm local time. A suspect fired approximately 10 rounds from a vehicle parked across the street from the property in the Beverly Hills area.

Local news station KTLA reported that at least one bullet pierced a wall of the home. Rihanna lives at the property with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children.

Police stated the suspect was a woman in her 30s who fled the scene. She was arrested without incident a short time later, and a weapon was recovered.

Investigators are still working to determine a motive for the attack. Rihanna, one of the world’s best-selling music artists, has not publicly commented on the shooting.
