KUALA KRAI: A search operation is underway for a 38-year-old man who has been missing from his home in Kampung Kandek, Dabong since Monday night.

The Dabong Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received a report about the disappearance of Muhd Safuan Che Mood at 9.54 am today.

According to his brother who made the report, Muhd Safuan has not returned home since approximately 11.30 pm on February 16.

Eight firefighters with two vehicles were dispatched to the area at 10.05 am to begin searching his regular route, located nine kilometres from the station.

“The fire department followed the route that was believed to have been taken by the victim, and the search was also conducted together with the villagers,” said Dabong BBP chief Senior Fire Officer II Zaimi Samat.

He said the initial search covered a three-kilometre radius and will be expanded later with the assistance of the K9 Unit.
