
Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah backs MACC’s efforts to strengthen integrity and accountability in Selangor’s administration.
SHAH ALAM: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has expressed his support for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s initiatives to strengthen a culture of integrity and accountability within the state.
His Royal Highness conveyed this endorsement after granting an audience to Selangor MACC director Mohd Azwan Ramli at Istana Bukit Kayangan.
During the meeting, the Sultan was briefed on the latest developments in corruption prevention efforts and institutional cooperation to enhance administrative integrity.
Several other state issues were also highlighted, including governance challenges and efforts to increase transparency within the public service.
“The audience granted by the Sultan of Selangor also reflected the MACC’s ongoing commitment towards ensuring a state administration that is transparent, of high integrity and corruption-free for the well-being of the people,” the commission said in a statement.
Selangor MACC (Operations) deputy director Khairul Izwan Karim was also present at the audience.
