KUALA LUMPUR: Oil and gas services and equipment provider, Steel Hawk Bhd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Steel Hawk Engineering Sdn Bhd, secured a three-year contract for underwater services from PETRONAS Chemicals Methanol Sdn Bhd.

The contract, which covers the provision of specified underwater services on a call-out basis, runs from December 9, 2025, to December 8, 2028.

While the contract does not carry a fixed value, it is expected to contribute positively to Steel Hawk Group’s earnings over the contract term and further strengthen the group’s working relationship with companies within the PETRONAS ecosystem.

At present, Steel Hawk has 21 contracts in hand, which are expected to keep the group operationally engaged over the next three years, providing visibility over its workload and supporting business continuity.

Commenting on the group’s outlook, deputy chairman and executive director Datuk Sharman K Michael said this contract further strengthens the group’s order book and provides clear visibility over the execution pipeline for the coming years.

“With multiple contracts already in hand, the group is well-positioned to deliver across its ongoing projects.

“At the same time, we are progressively expanding into adjacent sectors such as utilities, infrastructure and renewable energy.

“These initiatives are supported by our existing engineering, project management and execution capabilities, which are readily transferable across sectors and position the Group well to capture opportunities beyond its core oil and gas business,” he said in a statement.

Steel Hawk remains optimistic about its prospects, supported by sustained demand for maintenance, inspection, and support services in the oil and gas industry, alongside its ongoing efforts to broaden its service offerings beyond the traditional oil and gas segment.
