Proposals for a single government super app, the Rakan Muda youth programme, and tax refunds are set for discussion in the Dewan Rakyat today.

KUALA LUMPUR: Proposals for a consolidated government super app and updates on the Rakan Muda youth programme headline today’s Dewan Rakyat session.

According to the Order Paper, Tan Hong Pin (PH-Bakri) will ask the Digital Minister if the government plans to create a single app for all government services.

He will also inquire about the implementation timeline and total expenditure for such a project.

During the same session, Rushdan Rusmi (PN-Padang Besar) will ask the Youth and Sports Minister for an update on Rakan Muda 2025.

He seeks details on the programme’s impact on youth and plans to enhance its focus on character and skills development.

Jimmy Puah Wee Tse (PH-Tebrau) will question the Finance Minister on tax refunds.

He will ask for details on how much excess tax has been refunded and what amount remains outstanding.

The government’s timeline for completing all repayments will also be sought.

In the oral question-and-answer session, Kamal Ashaari (PN-Kuala Krau) will address rising livestock feed costs.

He will ask the Agriculture Minister about plans to curb a 25% price rise driven by imported raw materials.

The question includes optimising the use of palm kernel feed to stabilise prices.

Suhaizan Kaiat (PH-Pulai) will question the Digital Minister on the Artificial Intelligence Governance Bill.

He will ask how the bill will address copyright and intellectual property issues from AI systems.

These systems are often trained on copyrighted data like text, images, audio, and video.

The day’s proceedings will continue with debates on two key bills.

MPs will debate the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System Link Bill 2026.

The Finance Minister will also give the second reading of the Capitation Grant Bill 2026.
