Dedicated supermarket corners feature Khairul Aming’s viral recipe ingredients, making shopping easier for fans this Ramadan

AS netizens rush to gather ingredients for cooking influencer Khairul Aming’s 30-day Ramadan recipes, some supermarkets have created dedicated spaces to make shopping easier.

In a Threads post, Noraiman Aliah shared that she spotted a “Khairul Aming Corner” in a supermarket, stocked with key ingredients from his viral videos, including wheat flour, canned sardines, premix flour for frying, baking powder, and coconut milk.

The corner was decorated in a Hari Raya Aidilfitri theme with dark green and yellow colours and featured caricature illustrations of his recipes by D Creative Lab’s Danya Ayesya.

Aliah joked whether the supermarket had become a “student” of the entrepreneur, who is affectionately known online as Cikgu KA.

Responding, Khairul Aming said, “Students are even more stressed. Having to go shopping and still get reminded about assignments, hahaha!”

It’s not the only supermarket following suit. Natasha noted another outlet featuring his iconic greeting, “Hey Wassup, Guys!”, along with caricature decorations and ingredients from his recipes, such as chili sauce, peri-peri sauce, canned fruits, evaporated milk, crackers, dried cranberries, and almonds.

Netizens praised these corners for saving time and reducing the hassle of hunting for ingredients.

“In a way, buyers can also offer to related brand suppliers to feature their brands in Khairul Aming’s promotion block, right?” suggested Alia Natasha.

Suhaila Sulong added, “The staff are tired of being asked where these items are. They’ve just placed them all together, so don’t keep asking.”

With this “student-teacher” dynamic between fans and the influencer, @itssarahyahaya quipped that it is like a ‘koprasi sekolah’ (school cooperative), where all essential supplies can be found in one place.
