Syed Saddiq shaves his head and takes on Prima Valet’s gruelling Ironman Langkawi 2025 challenge to win RM1 million for the people of Muar.

MUAR MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman is putting everything on the line — even his hair — to raise RM1 million for his hometown.

The 32-year-old former Youth and Sports Minister is gearing up for the grueling Ironman Malaysia 2025 in Langkawi this Saturday, where he must swim 3.8km, cycle 180km and run 42.2km — all in under 13 hours — to unlock a RM1 million donation for Muar from local fashion brand Prima Valet (PV).

In a fiery post on Facebook and TikTok, Syed Saddiq declared his mission loud and clear:

“For RM1 million to Muar, I accept the challenge from Boss @primavalet! Bring it on. 13 hours at Ironman Langkawi = RM1 million for Muar. When one door of opportunity closes, ten more open. Alhamdulillah,” he wrote.

The post included a short video showing a screenshot of PV’s Instagram challenge that read: “Boss of Prima Valet wants to challenge @syedsaddiq. If he completes Ironman Langkawi within 13 hours, the boss will donate RM1 million to Muar. Do you dare???”

In true Syed Saddiq style, he added a fun twist — shaving his head clean, joking that the move could shave off three seconds from his race time.

Last year, he finished Ironman Malaysia in 13 hours and 13 minutes, even after crashing into a fallen tree branch mid-race.

This year’s event will see more than 1,800 athletes from 65 countries competing on the legendary island.
