
Police detain a 41-year-old teacher after seizing suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at a house in the district.
SEREMBAN: Police have arrested a male teacher on suspicion of drug-related activities.
The 41-year-old, who teaches at a school in Nilai, was detained at a house in the district yesterday afternoon.
Seremban district police chief ACP Azahar Abdul Rahim said the arrest occurred at 3.30 pm.
Officers seized a transparent packet containing powder and crystal pieces believed to be methamphetamine.
The estimated weight of the seized substance was 3.63 grams.
Police also confiscated modified tools used for smoking drugs during the operation.
“The suspect tested positive for methamphetamine,” ACP Azahar Abdul Rahim said in a statement.
The man has been remanded to assist with the investigation.
He is being probed under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
