KUALA LUMPUR: As recognition platforms gain traction across Asia’s increasingly competitive business landscape, organisations are finding new ways to validate credibility, signal leadership, and differentiate themselves beyond traditional awards.
Against this backdrop, The Asia Records staged its inaugural Recognition Nite recently, positioning itself as a regional benchmark for documenting and celebrating corporate and entrepreneurial achievement.
The evening also marked the launch of the second edition of The Asia Records Book of Achievements 2025/26, which the organisers describe as a formal archive of standout performance across industries.
Founder and organising chairman Dato KK Chua said the initiative aims to build a community anchored in impact and long-term value creation rather than in symbolic recognition.
“We want to bring together organisations and individuals who challenge convention and create measurable impact. The response we’ve received suggests there is a strong appetite in the region for recognition that carries substance,” he said.
This year’s list of record holders reflects a cross-section of industries shaping Asia’s economic narrative, from global platforms such as Amazon and Starbucks to regional players including iQIYI and Batik Air.
Collectively, the recipients highlight trends driving the region — digital platform expansion, content innovation, aviation connectivity, logistics efficiency and evolving corporate influence across markets.
The publication itself is intended to go beyond a commemorative role. Positioned as the organisation’s first official archive, it serves as both a reference point for industry benchmarks and a tool for recipients to strengthen cross-border credibility.
According to the organisers, the book is now available at major bookstores and through its official website.
Selection into The Asia Records followed an open nomination process, with candidates assessed against criteria such as impact, innovation, scalability, sustainability and integrity.
Final selections were reviewed by an independent panel alongside an oversight committee, a structure the organisers say is critical to maintaining transparency and trust.
The night’s programme centred on the presentation of awards to this year’s recipients, alongside networking sessions that brought together business leaders, partners and media — a signal that recognition, in this context, is as much about ecosystem-building as it is about individual achievement.
