
Applications for UP_TVET Perdana open from April 1 to May 8, offering over 15,000 places across 106 institutions under five ministries.
KUALA LUMPUR: Aspiring students can apply for the UP_TVET Perdana July 2026 intake from April 1 to May 8, with more than 15,000 places available across 106 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
The National TVET Council (MTVET) Secretariat stated that the participating institutions fall under five ministries, namely the Ministry of Human Resources, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
Selection processes, including interviews for specific courses, are scheduled to take place from May 4 to 8, with results to be announced between May 11 and 22.
Successful applicants must confirm their acceptance of offers from May 25 to June 7, while an appeal period will run from June 8 to 30.
The secretariat highlighted that TVET has become a strategic and widely recognised pathway, with current trends showing 53.56% of SPM leavers and equivalents now opting for skills-based education.
It added that the employability rate for TVET graduates has reached an impressive 95.1%, reflecting the programme’s ability to deliver stable and competitive career prospects.
