Penang police have detained two additional suspects, bringing the total to six, as investigations into a violent mall attack continue under Section 326 of the Penal Code.
GEORGE TOWN: Police have arrested two more men to assist in the investigation of a violent slashing incident at a shopping mall along Jalan Kelawai.
Penang police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail confirmed the arrests of the two men, who are in their 20s, stating that investigations are ongoing.
He added that a total of six suspects have now been detained in connection with the case, which is being probed under Section 326 of the Penal Code.
Earlier reports indicated that police had arrested and remanded four other suspects, aged between 29 and 40, for four to five days.
The case stems from an attack last Wednesday, where a man sustained serious injuries after being slashed by another man who then fled the scene on a motorcycle.
