KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti Malaya has initiated an internal investigation into allegations circulating on social media regarding a senior lecturer’s alleged affiliation with the Freemasons.

The university stated the probe aims to establish the full facts and will be conducted fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the law and its own regulations.

UM has advised the public to allow the necessary space for this investigation to proceed without interference.

It also urged people to refrain from speculation or sharing unverified information.

This caution is to safeguard the integrity of the inquiry and the privacy of all parties involved.
