A wallet belonging to a juice stand manager was allegedly stolen by a woman at a Petaling Jaya mall, according to CCTV footage shared online.

A woman was recently accused of stealing a wallet from a juice stand after the alleged act was caught on surveillance camera at a shopping mall in Petaling Jaya.

Posted on Threads, the surveillance footage showed the woman with two other individuals — a child and a man — passing by the smoothie stand when the child gestured towards the counter behind her, where the wallet had been placed.

According to the post, the incident took place on Sunday (March 8) at around 9.45pm. It was said that the juice stand manager, who owned the wallet, had gone out to buy a drink but later misplaced the item after tending to an order.

The young woman was then seen heading towards the wallet before taking it and standing there for a while, seemingly checking its contents.

The surveillance footage also showed that there was a staff member behind the counter, but she was positioned in a corner doing her work while the woman was examining the wallet.

Shortly afterwards, the woman and the two individuals left the premises with the alleged wallet.

“We have already checked with customer service, but the wallet was not returned,” read the post.

In an updated post, a screenshot showing an alleged failed bank transaction totalling RM9.45 was attached. The transaction reportedly took place on Tuesday (March 10).
