“Wey HAHAHAHA (laughing at myself). First day of Ramadan already kena scam.”
A customer was left amused and slightly disappointed after purchasing a “mini” Roti John Ayam at a Ramadan bazaar in Johor Bahru, only to discover that the chicken filling was just as “mini” as the bread itself.
The incident, which was shared on Threads, quickly gained traction after the customer posted a photo of the sandwich split open, revealing a spread of sauce but barely any visible chicken inside. The egg layer also appeared loosely attached to the bread.
“Wey HAHAHAHA (laughing at myself). First day of Ramadan already kena scam.

“Ordered mini chicken Roti John but didn’t expect the chicken filling to be mini too,” the caption read.
Providing further clarification in the comments, she explained that she had specifically chosen the mini version as she was dining alone.
“I was afraid I couldn’t finish the long one. Just wanted to taste it. But wow… even the egg didn’t stick to the bread.”
The post sparked a wave of reactions online.
One user expressed shock, writing, “Whoa, what is this? It’s not right to treat people selling food like that.”
While another joked, “What is this, oh my God, even the chicken is fasting.”
