
Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi visits his adopted Chinese family in Hutan Melintang, continuing an annual tradition of festive celebration and strengthening familial bonds
HUTAN MELINTANG: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi continued his annual tradition of celebrating Chinese New Year with his adopted family here.
He dedicated the second day of the festival to spending time in the warm, familial atmosphere he anticipates each year.
“This is an annual tradition that I always anticipate,” he said in a statement.
“It is here that family ties built over many years, filled with love and sincerity, continue to be strengthened.”
Ahmad Zahid described the celebration as filled with laughter, delicious food and lively conversations.
He said the gathering made time pass quickly and truly felt like returning home.
The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation to Beh Song Wan, better known as Bujang, for the consistent annual invitation.
He thanked Beh for celebrating the festive occasion in such a warm and welcoming manner.
“May this bond remain strong and blessed, God willing,” Ahmad Zahid said.
The celebration was held at the Dato’ Haji Abdullah Ahmad Multipurpose Hall in Hutan Melintang.
