Magnum secures highest World Lottery Association certification, reinforcing its commitment to safer gaming and mental health partnerships.
MAGNUM has reaffirmed its commitment to responsible gaming after successfully retaining its Level 3 Responsible Gaming Framework (RGF) certification from the World Lottery Association, the highest accreditation available under the internationally recognised standard.
In a statement, Magnum Corporation Sdn Bhd said the certification reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen player protection, encourage responsible gaming practices and foster a safer environment within Malaysia’s Number Forecast Operator (NFO) industry.
The company said responsible gaming extends beyond regulatory compliance, describing it as a wider commitment focused on awareness, empathy and practical measures to support both players and communities.
Magnum said the recertification process involved a detailed assessment of various areas, including player protection initiatives, training programmes for employees and retailers, stakeholder engagement and governance standards.
As part of its sixth annual Responsible Gaming Week (RG Week), themed Balanced Play is the Right Way, the company also partnered with the Malaysian Mental Health Association to conduct nationwide sessions centred on mental health awareness and the early identification of problematic gaming behaviour among employees.
The company said employees are trained to recognise potential warning signs and provide support to players in an empathetic manner, contributing to a healthier and safer gaming ecosystem.
“Maintaining our Level 3 Responsible Gaming recertification shows that we are serious about protecting our players and supporting our communities.
“Our partnership with MMHA reinforces this commitment, demonstrating that responsible gaming is not just about compliance, it is about awareness, empathy and supporting the communities we serve, and Magnum is committed to all three,” said Magnum Corporation Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Lawrence Lim Swee Lin.
Since 2021, Magnum has also introduced digital tools such as the Gaming Health Check and RG Calculator to help players better understand their gaming habits and make more informed decisions.
The company added that it continues to collaborate with the Gambling Rehab Centre (GRC) to support rehabilitation and recovery efforts for individuals affected by excessive gaming.
Through initiatives including RG Week, international certifications and mental health partnerships, Magnum said it aims to continue strengthening responsible gaming efforts in Malaysia while prioritising player well-being and community care.
